ADMINISTRATIVE/ BOOKKEEPING COORDINATOR POSITION

Support the Washington Interfaith Network staff on a wide range of administrative and logistical responsibilities. We are open to applicants seeing a half-time to a full-time role.

DUTIES: 

Duties and roles include but are not limited to: 

  • Office & Financial management and book-keeping. Process expenses, apply the payment to accounts, track incomes, work with auditor and possibly contract bookkeeper on documentation needed for auditor and tax purposes. Maintain member dues database, track and send reminders. Tax database, tax for donations, coordinate and track documentation needed for tax purposes. Coordinate with payroll service. Maintain/ coordinate with insurance providers and vendors.
  • Logistical support for individual and foundation fundraising. Supporting volunteers and staff in the annual individual donor campaigns by providing materials, tracking responses and communications, coordinating thank you letters, and working with staff to ensure prompt responses to deadlines and reports.
  • Database Coordinating member contact, voter, and donor database. Our database is Every Action/ VAN.
  • Supporting the Board/ Strategy Team (meeting notices, emails, Zoom links, etc.), taking board notes, etc.
  • Occasional Event Logistics Management. Along with a team with diverse skill sets, you would lead the logistics from conception and promotion to implementation of small (15 people) and large (1,000+) events. Both in-person (abiding by health guidelines), online on Zoom, and hybrid. Invitation, tracking RSVPs, venue, equipment rental, interpretation coordination, printing materials, supplies, props, nametags, signage, refreshments. And everything needed for a smooth and rewarding experience.

-Office management (monitor phone messages, order supplies, maintain hardcopy files).

  • Computer literacy in all major platforms and is quick to learn on others. (Zoom, google docs, google sheets, google slides, excel word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with EveryAction /VAN is preferred- but we will consider candidates who are quick learners and provide access to learning opportunities.

COMPENSATION 

We are open to applicants for a half-time or full-time position. We offer fully paid family health insurance for all full-time positions. After a minimum tenure, we offer employer contribution to retirement and generous vacation. We offer some flexible hours. Sometimes, you are required to be present for events, meetings, or to perform aspects of the work. But beyond that, we provide flexibility in hours for employees with a track record for quality performance and meeting deadlines. We offer remote work or space in an office. 

Starting salary is dependent greatly on experience level and fit, but ranges from $40,000-75,000 full time equivalent. ($20,000-37,500 for part-time).
